As I’m interested in light and sound, and music and colour, I was drawn to this work at the Lissom Gallery’s “Everything at Once” exhibition at the Store.  For his work “A Chamber for Horwitz”, Haroon Mirza has transcribed a drawing by Horwitz into notational sequences that became a multi-coloured sonic score.  This created the colour combinations and configurations for the 8 LED lights.  They were accompanied by the amplified noise of the lights electrical currents which created audible pulses in different octaves.  All very techy – but resulting in an emotionally engaging experience.  I’m going to do more research to see if this is an area for me.
