After many exhibitions where I felt ‘I am in the middle of nothing’ and this is ‘a mere freak show’ where artists were trying to be artists by making banal and over used choices I stepped into the Pace Gallery and Jean Dubuffet was there on the walls and it was great.

That feeling of being in front of something meaningful…made me think again:

Are we loosing ourselves trying to produce art that ‘doesn’t want to look art’ at all costs?

Do we need to re consider the ‘making of fine art’ instead?

I am an MA Fine Arts student after all.
