My work is autobiographical. There are elements of vulnerability, embarrassment and fragility. The starting point is poetry that I have written concerning the internal narrative to my life, my marriage and the silence I am faced with. Fragments of poetry are transcribed onto recycled MDF and bed linen, then painted over and re-written with superficial decorative colors. The juxtaposition of the color palette is a purposeful contradiction to the truth and one that links into the paradox of my marriage.
