In the early part of the term the studio was quiet. Two people connected and spontaneously collaborated. It was a marrying of minds and emotions. Esra Vazirally was being advised to go through an arranged marriage. Joanna Gilbert was understanding the reality of her marriage.
A found, disregarded roll of paper that had been lugged through the tube and the streets of London became the surface to play with and then the process began. It was a realisation of reality for them. A take on life as it was right then.
These works will be shown in the forthcoming show entitled ‘The Broken Paradox’ which will take place in the Morgue at Chelsea UAL on January 25th.
