Here is my photograph at the point of untying the rope on the paper rubbing that I’d wrapped around the Ship’s Bollard (Henry Moore Courtyard at Chelsea). It was a moment that spoke spirits from another era. The images I took later are wild and I’d be pleased to post them in ‘Wrestling the Spirit’. On a calm and quiet moment at Millbank one Saturday morning,  I released the knot and immediately the wind picked up. The 4.5 metre long paper sheet was whipped up into the air. I wrestled with this spirit. Does anyone have any contemporary artists to share specifically related to Hauntology and the Science of Ghosts?

John Davies (b.1946) has a new work, ‘My Ghosts’, 2007-2017 at Turner Contemporary, Margate, in January 2018.
