After the pecha-kucha presentation, Patti’s opinion made me think a lot.

I showed a model of my paperwork and she said that reminded her about applied art and stage design. I never thought of that before. And she mentioned an artist who make small installation and took photos for them.  Great idea.

Then after a few days, I searched some guide books for architecture and model-making in Central Saint Martin’s library and I found David Hockney painted a lot for stages.

These incredible colors straightly show his personality meanwhile they are applied for drama.  There seems a bridge between applied art and fine art.

This is a crucial discovery for my exploring,  which recalled my experience of sculpture and video-making. So I began to make colorful small scale models, and set up a mini photograph studio on my mattress;)

I think I have found something.
