My work looks at perceptions and the difference between what we see as reality and what is reality. There are elements of vulnerability, embarrassment and fragility. Fragments of poetry are transcribed onto recycled MDF and bed linen, then painted over and re-written with superficial decorative colors. The juxtaposition of the color palette is a purposeful contradiction to the truth and one that links into the paradox of what real life feels vs what we perceive life should be.
