An Amazing show I saw in  Fotomuseum Amsterdam (FOAM).

It shows the life works of André Kertész (1894-1985). He is mainly engaged in the work of news photography, but we can strongly find the trait of painting from his documentary photos. The main focus on the type of light and geometry composition.

Most of his work is about shooting scenes around his life. One of the most interesting series I discovered was “Distortion”. In this series André Kertész almost destroyed the structure of the picture and more toward to the abstract development. In this series you can see the strong visual tension and emotions. Space and time on site have been removed, like coming to another fabricated space. Human lines as sculptures appear in the picture.
