Insomnia is created in my third-year undergrad. It is a double-channel video consist of found footages, animations and some self-recorded clips and images. The two-channel format juxtaposes the experience of insomnia and the issue of light pollution within the metropolis in the winter time. Light contamination is considered one of the significant factors that lead to the phenomenon of early budding of plants in the urban area. Modernity has made steady inroads against sleep – the average rest time of human being is gradually decreasing, even the non-human organism is forced to participate in the 24/7 world.
